King's Daughter Conference rescheduled
A benefit sponsored by American Legion McCluskey Post 640 for our veterans will be held Saturday, Jan. 22, from noon till 5 p.m. at Knights of Columbus Hall, Hwy 90, in Anderson. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Children under six are free. Admission includes two hot dogs, chips and a drink. The second annual A Cause For Paws Fundraiser Festival benefitting the Grimes County Animal Rescue will be held Saturday, March 26, at 5:30 p.m. at the Grimes County Expo Center. Music will be provided by Derek Spence, a tribute to George Strait.
