The 2nd annual Plantersville Town Hall 52 guns raffle tickets are on sale. Tickets are $100 each and one winner will be selected each week for 52 weeks. There are only 500 tickets being sold. Grimes County 4-H is having a one-day camp July 8, at the Grimes County Extension Office, 205 Veterans Memorial Drive in Navasota from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. for ages 5-18. City of Navasota is hosting Movies in the Park. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy movies in Brule Park, 103 Brosig Street, this summer. The city will host four total movies, one each Friday night in July with the last Friday geared towards a date night showing. Each movie will begin at dusk (around 8:30 p.m.) and will be projected onto a large inflatable screen. The lineup includes: July 7 – Puss in Boots: The Last Wish; July 14 - Night at the Museum and July 21 – The Sandlot; July 28 – Top Gun: Maverick.
