lola Food Pantry open Dec. 17

Iola Food Pantry will have their monthly distribution of food at Iola Missionary Baptist Church Saturday, Dec. 17, from 9-11 a.m. Anyone needing a helping hand are welcome. Setup is Friday, Dec. 16, at noon. Volunteers are needed and appreciated.

The wedding of Buzz Galvan and bride, Nicole Brandon, was held Saturday, Dec. 3, in Caldwell at The Ranch House. They will make their home in Iola. The wedding was performed by Rev. Jeff Morgan, pastor of Evergreen Baptist Church. Join me in wishing them many years of happiness together.

There won’t be a Wednesday service at Evergreen Baptist Church Dec. 21 and Dec. 28, due to the Christmas holiday. A Christmas Eve service will be held Dec. 24, at 6 p.m. Christmas service is Dec. 25, at 11 a.m. Hope to see you then.

The annual Watson Family Reunion was held at Keith Community Center Saturday, Dec. 3, with over 50 family members present. There was even a bounce house for the children to enjoy. Everyone had a wonderful time and made plans to attend next year.

Orphans Friend Masonic Lodge No. 17 held their monthly meeting Monday, Dec. 5, at their lodge hall in Anderson. Following the meal, a variety of business was discussed and acted upon.

Bedias Masonic Lodge No. 651 held their monthly meeting Tuesday, Dec. 6, with a good number of visitors and members attending. The covered dish meal was enjoyed by all. A variety of business and other affairs were handled. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Keith Civic Club will not have a December meeting due to the Christmas holiday. The next meeting is Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023. The Civic Club wishes everyone a merry Christmas.
