Vicki Ruth Wilson, a beloved member of her community, passed away on April 11, 2023, at the age of 74. She was married to Dennis Wilson and had two sons, Phillip Davis and Mark Davis.
Vicki was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on February 7, 1949 to the late Reverend Raymond Drews and Trixie Drews of Navasota, Texas. She graduated from Navasota High School in 1967, and then went on to study at Houston Baptist College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1972. Vicki continued her education and received her Master’s degree in 1988 from the University of Mississippi.

Funeral services for Esther Lee Bowen Young, 75, of Katy, TX and formerly of Richards, TX were held Saturday, April 22, 2023, at First Baptist Church, Richards, with Rev. L. Dunbar officiating.
Esther passed April 8, 2023, at Choice Hospice, Houston following a brief illness. She was born April 19, 1947, to the parentage of Theory and Sallie Fair Green Bowen of Grimes County, TX. She was a lifelong member of Robinson Hill Bapt. Church, of the Pineywoods (Richards) area, serving with the Women’s Ministry and Bible Study, the church choir, and the Usher Board. She attended community schools., graduating from Richards High, class of 1967, and furthered her education at Mary Allen College, Crockett, with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Rayburn Lee “Butch” Gerke, 76, of Anderson, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, May 6, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Windrow Events, 14648 Hwy 105, in Plantersville. Dinner was served at 4:00 p.m. His wishes were for all his family and friends to attend and celebrate the great life he had.

Mr. Kenneth W Brown, 84, of Conroe, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, April 11, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Kenneth was born to Roy Arnum and Sarah Carolyn (Tabor) Brown in Gatesville, Texas, on February 5, 1939. His family moved to Navasota in 1948. After high school graduation he served in the United States Army from 1958-1962.

Obie was born August 6, 1935 to Henry E. Harman and Gatsey E. Harman (Foster). Obie attended Richards school district. Following high school Obie attended Sam Houston State University, graduating in 1959.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Nobles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Perry Espinosa officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Ricky was born in Navasota, TX, on October 22, 1959, to Joe and Mae Pearl (Bundrich) Klawinsky. He attended Richards School District and later graduated from Richards High School.
