Facing premium increases to renew the current county employee health plan for 2021-2022, Grimes County commissioners approved an alternate plan option at the Wednesday, June 16, meeting. County medical, dental and life benefits are administered by the Texas Association of Counties Health and Employee Benefits Pool (TAC-EBP), and Ashley Cureton, the TAC health administrator liaison was present to answer questions about the options available.

When it is time to retire “Old Glory,” the VFW ensures the flags are retired with a proper flag burning ceremony. There is a drop box in front of the VFW where the community can drop off old flags. A request to install a disc golf course at August Horst Park received enthusiastic approval from all council members at the June 14 Regular Meeting of the Navasota City Council.
