Navasota Police are investigating early morning burglaries at three local restaurants. Navasota Police Chief Mike Mize said the burglaries occurred overnight between 1-4 a.m. The burglaries were reported to police when employees arrived to prepare the restaurants for opening.

The leaders of tomorrow are the students of today, and the future is brighter when students gather together to pray. Students across Grimes County participated in See You at the Pole, an annual national event where students gather around the flagpole at their school to pray.

Navasota High School Band senior trombonist, Matthew Sosa, earned third chair for the Association of Texas Small School Bands, Region 23, Jazz Band. He advances to the area round of auditions. Sosa was one of 13 trombones auditioning for five spots in the band (top-3 record for area). All-State Jazz Band members will be announced in November.
