Those assembled at Navasota’s Oakland Cemetery were a part of a nationwide effort of more than 2 million volunteers and supporters who gathered “to Remember, Honor and Teach.” WAADay ceremonies were held at more than 4,000 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad.

In November, members of the camp marched in the 100th anniversary Veterans Day parade in Waco. In December, the camp held their annual Christmas Party at the Camp Commander’s residence then marched in the MontgomeryChristmas Parade with the local chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy camp Thomas Jefferson Stubs who planned and organized the parade float.
