Read moreJanice Scheve, co-owner of the P.A. Smith Hotel in Navasota, was the guest speaker at the Two Rivers Heritage Foundation history mixer Dec. 15 at VFW Post 4006. Scheve stated that after three years of restoration, including all new electrical, plumbing, and floors, the hotel is within months of completion. The hotel is expected to open in late spring and will include a bakery and a southern cooking style restaurant – Red Board, two buildings south, all on Railroad Street facing the tracks.
