Anderson-Shiro senior pitcher kept the East Bernard Brahmarettes off balance for the majority of game two in a best-of-three bi-district playoff game April 27, at Navasota High School’s Ira Floyd Field. Adams held East Bernard to a single run through three innings before dropping an 8-2 decision ending the Lady Owls season.

ANDERSON – Anderson-Shiro took the lead on a grand slam and flew into the playoffs with a 10-4 win over Coldspring-Oakhurst April 22.
The Lady Trojans won the first matchup the previous week by a narrow 5-4 decision. The Trojans attacked first with two runs in the opening inning. The Lady Owls split the deficit in half with a run in the bottom of the second. Jade Buchanan led off with a single to left field and advanced to second on an error. She advanced to third on Josey Imhoff’s groundout. Gabby Goudeau drove her in on a groundout to shortstop.

The Rattlers struck first, but District 25-4A frontrunner Needville prevailed with a clutch hit to secure a 2-1 win at Boenker Field.
With two outs in the bottom of the first inning, Navasota junior shortstop Devin Nuñez hit a line drive to centerfield just under the glove of a Bluejay diving catch attempt. The ball skirted to the wall and Nuñez streaked around the bases for an inside the park homerun and a 1-0 lead.
