Read moreMembers of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church are planning and preparing a Christmas Eve meal to be served Saturday, Dec. 24 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at their parish hall, 1511 Hwy. 90 in Anderson. We are trying to spread the word out that this meal is open to area community members. You don’t have to be Catholic to join us for the meal. It is open to the public. The delicious lunch will be served in the hall for you to enjoy and visit with others or we can deliver meals to you if you reside in the Anderson area. There isn’t much news to share since I have not been out and about. I really appreciate all the friendly people we have in our community - it is a blessing. The Popper family and I gathered at P. Nemirs to watch the parade. It was raining Saturday, but we made it to town. The rain held off long enough for the parade to happen. Kacie braved running to the street so Kohen could see and recognize Uncle Chucky in the NHS Band. I really felt bad for those students. Poor Chucky was somewhat wet when I picked him up. It is good that I have leather seats. Kohen isn’t fond of the dark, so he was cautious of the crowd, flashing lights and so many HoHoHo (Santa). That little 23-pound human gets heavy so LaLa and Gingi had to swap occasionally holding him.
Read moreThe annual Christmas party was held at Evergreen Baptist Church Sunday, Dec. 11. A good time was enjoyed by all 53 people present. There was a gift exchange, and a meal was served. During the morning worship service, there was a Christmas program with the children in charge. The children did a wonderful job, and the program was enjoyed by all. Tony Montoya won the ugly sweater contest. Good going Tony!
